Delete Your Account

You can delete your Anjo account and the data we hold about you at any time. This page explains exactly how to do it, what gets removed, and what briefly stays behind.

Delete from the app

The fastest way is to do it yourself from inside the Anjo app:

  1. Open the Menu
  2. Tap "Delete Account"
  3. Confirm in the dialog that appears

Can't sign in? Email us

If you've lost access to your account, send us an email and we'll handle it manually. Please include:

  • The phone number on your Anjo account
  • Your Anjo display name (if you remember it)
  • A clear statement that you want your account and data deleted

What we delete

When your deletion is processed, the following is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Your account profile (name, profile picture)
  • Your wishlists and gift preferences
  • The hashed contact index linked to your account

What we keep (and for how long)

A small amount of data may persist briefly after deletion for operational reasons:

  • Encrypted backups — kept up to 30 days, then purged during standard backup rotation

How long it takes

We complete deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them. In-app deletions are usually processed much faster.

Confirmation

Once deletion is complete, we'll send a confirmation email to the address on your account. After that, your data is gone and cannot be recovered.
